Ken-Bar Tool & Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1957 and originally supported the local manufacturing industry in East-Central Indiana.  At the time, Muncie and the surrounding area had a strong manufacturing base with several Fortune 500 plants present, supporting a significant number of tool shops, with Ken-Bar being one of them.  Over the years, many of the large manufacturing companies closed down or moved out.

With its traditional customer-base declining, the company had to reinvent itself and has since developed into a North-American provider of manufacturing solutions with customers in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.  Today, Ken-Bar is a vertically integrated machine builder and system integrator.  The in-house design and manufacturing teams are supported by a measurement lab accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.  In addition to complete, turn-key solutions, automated equipment, robotic cells, and test stands, the company also offers various other products and services supporting manufacturers in various industries, which include tooling, fixtures, gages, dies, design services, and prototype and low-volume manufacturing.  Amongst Ken-Bar’s specialties are gage design and build and leak-testing.
